DT Teaching Resources: Chocolate Bar (SMART Notebook slides and worksheets) This unit of work explores the national curriculum UKS2 objective ‘select from and use a wider range of materials and components, including construction materials, textiles and ingredients, according to their functional properties and aesthetic qualities’ in an easy to follow way. Students are taught a range of design skills from investigating, designing, making and evaluating. It contains a total of 15 SMART Notebook slides spread across the first 3 lessons all presented in child-friendly work booklet. There are no slides for the remaining 3 lessons as this requires the children to make their chocolate bar and evaluate them. These lessons can be found in the children’s workbooks.
